The Polish Biathlon Cup competition was dominated among the seniors by Wojciech Janik of AZS AWF Wrocław, who won both Saturday’s and Sunday’s races. More than 100 male and female competitors in various age categories, from young juniors to seniors, took part in the weekend’s competitions on each of the two days.

In addition to the sporting competitions, the youngest visitors could also take part in the Little Runner’s Academy, where, under an instructor’s supervision, children could literally take their first steps on cross-country skis.

Sport was not the only attraction at #NaPolanie over the weekend. Among the other activities, visitors could take part in workshops on designing glass facets organised by Julia Crystal Glassworks, build Lower Silesian attractions from wooden blocks, and enjoy many other
attractions.

It is worth noting that a large proportion of visitors to Polana Jakuszycka arrived by Koleje Dolnośląskie trains. All trains operating on this route stop directly in front of the Lower Silesian Sports Centre.

Along with the updated timetable, the Szklarska Poręba Jakuszyce station was opened at a new location, directly in front of the Lower Silesian Sports Centre. Previously, this railway station—the highest in the country, at 886 metres above sea level—was located several hundred metres farther away, next to the largest car parks for the Piast Races. Another gesture towards athletes is the DCS offer, which from this season includes, among other things, lockers for runners, changing rooms, catering, toilets and showers.
