For six years, Powiat Bolesławiecki has been carrying out the government task known as free legal assistance. There are currently four legal assistance points in our county:

  • at the District Office,
  • at the Osiecznica Commune Office,
  • at the Warta Bolesławiecka Commune Office,
  • at the County Labour Office.

Next year, the latter will be moved to the Gromadka Commune Office.

Free legal assistance is very popular in our county, and the number of people using it increases every year. More than 1,400 legal consultations have already been provided this year.

What issues do people most often seek help with? Most cases concern debt, bailiff enforcement and inheritance, although consultations on criminal law are also provided.

Some cases are resolved immediately, while others—those that are more complicated—require several visits.

Officials stress that the fact that the assistance is free does not mean it is of lower quality. The number of satisfied clients is proof of this.

Who can use free legal assistance?

Anyone. To use it, one only needs to submit a declaration that they are unable to cover the cost of paid legal assistance.

Details are available on the Powiatu Bolesławieckiego website.
