As reported by Bolesławiec City Hall:

Due to ongoing problems with electricity supplies caused by Russia’s attack on the Ukrainian state, on 21 December at 8 p.m. the Christmas lights will be switched off across Europe for one hour.

The city hall adds:

The aim is to show solidarity with residents who, in the face of war, are unable to spend the holidays peacefully. We also want to show in this way what people living in a war zone are experiencing.
