As reported by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister:
Adopted by the Council of Ministers in December 2022, the Government Programme for the Construction of National Roads provides for the construction of approximately 2,500 km of new roads—motorways and expressways. By 2033, more than PLN 290 billion will be allocated to the Programme. Ultimately, a network totaling more than 8,000 km of modern roads will be created, to be used by successive generations of Poles.
– This is the largest national programme for the construction of expressways and motorways in Poland’s history. It amounts to more than PLN 294 billion, guaranteed in our budget – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki emphasized. The Chancellery of the Prime Minister: – The programme will also strengthen mechanisms for economic growth and the creation of new jobs. It is a very strong economic and socially-oriented stimulus for all Poles.
The Chancellery adds:
The National Roads Development Programme is just one of the many programmes we are implementing. We also support the development of local roads. They are being built, for example, under the Government Local Investment Fund and the Government Strategic Investment Programme. As a result, everyone benefits from all investments in infrastructure policy—regardless of exactly where they live.
What investments in Lower Silesia?
(...) these include the expansion/construction of the A4 motorway on the Wrocław–Krzyżowa section, the expansion of the A4 motorway on the Wrocław–Tarnów section, the reconstruction of national roads 94 and 36 between Wrocław and Lubin, the construction of the S5 road on the Sobótka–Bolków section, as well as the construction of the S8 expressway on the Wrocław (Magnice)–Kłodzko section and further from Kłodzko to Boboszów.
