On Saturday (June 26), a charity sports event was held at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street. The main event was a match between the Bolesławiec Association of Abstainers Przemiana and Friends and the Polish Artists’ National Team. Before both teams took to the pitch, the crowd gathered at the stadium had the opportunity to watch young footballers training at BKS Bobrzanie. Meanwhile, the performers on stage were Kabaret Grosik from Nowogrodziec and Tomek Kalczyński with his band. The event was hosted by the Head of Gromadka Commune – Dariusz Pawliszczy.
After 6:00 p.m., accompanied by the Bolesławiec Municipal Brass Band, the BSA Przemiana and Friends and the Polish Artists’ National Team took to the pitch. The RAP team arrived with a very limited squad. Local footballers filled the gaps. Contrary to earlier announcements, Jarosław Jakimowicz, Andrzej Nejman and one of the Mroczek brothers did not appear. The absence of the previously announced artists was not the event organizer’s fault. The artists simply did not arrive, despite their earlier promises. This did not prevent the teams from playing a fiercely contested match, in which penalties decided the winner.
Already in the 8th minute, BKS player Łukasz Graczyk scored for the artists. In the 20th minute, Wojciech Kuźnik equalized. Eight minutes later, the artists regained the lead. This time, Krzysztof Śliwiński scored. In the 32nd minute, Wojtek Kuźnik scored his second goal to make it 2–2. After the break, Przemiana went on the attack. In the 46th minute, Andrzej Galant extended Przemiana’s lead to 3–2. The visitors equalized in the 52nd minute. This time, Grzegorz Staszewski got his name on the scoresheet. In the 73rd minute, the artists took a 4–3 lead after a goal by Łukasz Graczyk. Five minutes later, Sebastian Dymek equalized. The match ended in a 4–4 draw.
To determine the winner, the referee ordered a penalty shootout. Among the reliable penalty takers for the Bolesławiec team were mayor Piotr Roman, Municipal Guard Commander Emil Zając and vice-president Maciej Małkowski. The latter’s goal gave Przemiana the victory. The aim of Saturday’s event was to provide financial assistance to children and young people from the Rehabilitation Centre and to students of the District Complex of Schools and Special-Education Institutions in Bolesławiec.
