Pomost Association:
On December 6, 2022, we carried out exhumation work in Ocice, Bolesławiec County (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). Near one of the village farms, we located two graves of German soldiers who died in 1945. We found no identification tags with their remains.

The Pomost Association was founded in 1997 by Poles and Germans. Its founders wanted to try, in some way, to repair the poor relations that had developed between the Polish and German nations, particularly over the preceding 60 years.
Initially, the association focused on documenting wartime events in the Polish-German border region. Later, however, its activities expanded to include ecumenical meetings, the maintenance of war cemeteries, archaeological work and many other joint Polish-German initiatives.
