One of the items on the agenda of the December session of the Bolesławiec County Council was a report by the County Building Supervision Inspector in Bolesławiec on the condition of construction objects and investors’ and users’ compliance with construction law regulations in Bolesławiec County in 2021. Piotr Żak, head of the County Building Supervision Inspectorate, was asked about the Panattoni company’s hall. The inspector replied that when the war broke out and the crisis began, the work was halted.

He added that the company is currently considering whether the investment makes sense. He also noted that the same applies to the DPD hall, which was being built on the site formerly occupied by the Prnjavor motel and restaurant. That company also halted construction. For the same reasons.

It is not yet known when the halted investments will resume—or whether they will resume at all. Piotr Żak informed the councillors that every investor has the right to halt construction for up to three years.

We have reported on the investments mentioned above numerous times in these pages, including in the articles: Panattoni Park Bolesławiec to be built by the A4 motorway. “Window to the West” and A modern DPD Polska facility is being built in Bolesławiec.
