On Wednesday evening at sunset (around 9:40 p.m.), a dance performance will take place by the Bóbr River (at the field on Rajska Street). It will feature young people who dance daily in the “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble. The musical impressions accompanying the choreography developed by BOK-MCC instructor Elżbieta Tor are inspired by the celebrations of Midsummer Night.

Magic, fortune-telling and mysterious signs—these are all things to expect on the night of June 23–24. It is an enchanted night, celebrated by the Slavs as a festival of fire and water. Midsummer Night, also known as Sobótka, was a celebration of love and fertility. It was a night of dancing around bonfires, risqué songs, courtship, and folk beliefs and magic. The dance performance by the dancers of the “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble will be accompanied by music from the Saint Nicholas Orchestra and the Polaniarze ensemble from Kościelisko. We invite you.
