From 7 to 10 November 2022, work was carried out to prepare the ground in the areas where flower meadows will be established. The areas cover a total of 2.3 ha and will be located at the following sites: Głowackiego Street – town parks, the boulevard along the Bóbr, the area near Murarska Street, Tysiąclecia Avenue, Gałczyńskiego Street and Jana Pawła II Street. The contractor for the task is Państwo Łąka Sp. z o.o. Contract value: PLN 159,268.68.
On 9 November 2022, an information workshop on establishing and maintaining flowering meadows was held at BOK-MCC. Grzegorz Walkiewicz, a representative of Państwo Łąka Sp. z o.o., gave a presentation entitled “How we will establish flowering meadows in Bolesławiec” and shared experience from other projects carried out in Poland. The presentation was followed by a site visit and observation of the work undertaken as part of Stage I of the contract, i.e. preparing the ground for establishing the meadows.
