Last June, we reported on a hip-hop new style dance show held at the Orzeł cinema. At that time, their skills were presented by participants in the three-day “Bolesławiec Dances” workshops, led by dancers: Agnieszka Nowak, Kamila Osuch and Jordan Czopko. “It was the first time we had the opportunity to lead this type of class; it was a great experience,” Agnieszka recalls.
“This year we are organising the second edition of the ‘Bolesławiec Dances’ workshops,” says Jordan. The classes will take place from 28 to 30 June at Cezar Club (Jezierskiego Street). This time, they will be led by Agnieszka, Jordan and Marta Hichel, a contemporary dance instructor. “We have diversified our offer,” Agnieszka says with a smile. “We want to encourage those who have not danced before, as well as those who have not had the opportunity to learn contemporary dance, to come to us.”
“I came to Bolesławiec last year; since April this year, I have been teaching contemporary dance,” says Marta. “I started dancing as a child. As a teenager, I chose contemporary dance. Through it, one can express much more than movement alone; this dance greatly develops body awareness.”
The “Bolesławiec Dances 2010” workshops will be held as follows:
- 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – younger group (up to 13 years old)
- 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – older group
The cost of the classes is PLN 50 (for 9 hours of dancing!). Registration is accepted by email at boleslawiectanczy@gmail.com (the email should include your first and last name, date of birth, telephone number and group). The IstotneInformacje.pl website is the event’s media patron.
