The classes began on October 14 and are scheduled to finish on November 26. Bolesławiec County: – The training is conducted by employees of the PCPR in Bolesławiec – two trainers in family-based foster care – in accordance with the “RODZINA” Training Programme licensed by the Association of Adoptive and Foster Families “Pro Familia” in Kraków.

Fourteen people joined the training, including five married couples, one unmarried couple and two single people. The county government:

Some of the participants are already non-professional foster families for minor children, in accordance with court decisions.

During the training, candidates can deepen their existing knowledge while also gaining much new information essential to care and upbringing. During the weekly meetings, participants learn about the specific nature of foster-family functioning based on a training programme carried out in several thematic blocks. The meetings consist of lectures, exercises and workshop sessions.

Through working in small groups, the training participants can test the knowledge they have already acquired and learn about the specific nature of foster parenthood, as well as the problems and tasks they face.

The county:

Everyone is engaged and eagerly takes part in the training sessions, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere full of trust and mutual support. The meetings are full of various emotions – there are tears of emotion, anger, fear and uncertainty…, but also joy, satisfaction and hope.

And adds:

We invite people willing to become foster families, share their hearts and create a sense of security for children deprived of the care and upbringing of their biological parents.
