On Saturday (June 12), BKS hosted Chrobry Nowogrodziec. Bolesławiec’s team began the match ambitiously and without any complexes. The home side’s attacks produced the desired result as early as the 16th minute. Kamil Mielnik crossed into the penalty area from the left. Krzysztof Szymański leapt for the ball, and Chrobry’s goalkeeper had to retrieve it from the net. In the 22nd minute, Błażej Rajchel rescued Bolesławiec’s team from danger by clearing the ball from a goalmouth scramble. The following minutes saw BKS dominate. Chrobry’s players appeared surprised that their opponents were playing ambitious, fast-paced football. The visitors’ attacks were “snuffed out” 20–30 metres from Sebastian Łokaj’s goal.
Chrobry’s prolific striker Marcin Jankowski was completely invisible. Difficulties getting into BKS’s penalty area meant that the visitors tried to score with long-range shots. Most of their efforts, however, were off target. In the 28th minute, Krzysztof Szymański made it 2:0 for BKS. This time, the BKS player made a gentle contact with the ball, which, on the rain-slicked pitch, took spin and deceived Rafał Golba. After this incident, Chrobry’s coach changed goalkeepers. Marcin Szczepański came on for Golba. The score remained unchanged until halftime.
During the break, coach Milewski took Józef Pietrzak, Łukasz Bizoń and Marcin Jankowski off the pitch. Robert Bodzianny, Grzegorz Kasper and Łukasz Misiurek came on in their places. Chrobry came out looking to make up the deficit and began to compete more evenly. In the 47th minute, Sławomir Tkacz shot at the Bolesławiec goal, but BKS’s goalkeeper was alert. In the 60th minute, BKS launched a dangerous attack. Tomasz Jasiński tried to surprise the visiting goalkeeper from 15 metres. Marcin Szczepański won the duel. In the 69th minute, Chrobry attacked again. Łukasz Kusiak shot at BKS’s goal, but the BKS goalkeeper saved the attempt.
In the 73rd minute, Nowogrodziec scored to narrow the deficit. After a foul in the penalty area, Maciej Machowski stepped up to take the ball, making it 2:1. In the 84th minute, the impressive Kamil Mielnik shot at the visitors’ goal. Marcin Szczepański managed to parry the ball, but he was helpless when Krzysztof Szymański followed up. Chrobry continued attacking, trying to reduce the deficit. In the 92nd minute, after a corner, Marek Kumoś, intervening unsuccessfully, put the ball into his own goal, making it 3:2 for BKS. Two minutes later, the referee ended the match.
BKS Bobrzanie defeated Chrobry Nowogrodziec 3:2. Our team played a good match. Much of the credit goes to Marek Przykłota, who was able to motivate the team and devise an effective game plan. This was especially evident in the first half, during which Chrobry could not circulate the ball freely. Toward the end of the match, Bolesławiec’s players ran out of energy, but they managed to hold on to the favourable result. With the derby victory, BKS secured its place in the fourth division.
