The incident took place on October 22, before 10:00 a.m., by the shopping gallery on Wesoła Street in Bolesławiec. A reader informed us that she notified the authorities three times about a homeless woman sleeping near one of the shops. Twice she called the emergency number, and once she called the KPP duty officer.

She added that she waited an hour and a half for the police to arrive. And—as she told us—she allegedly heard that it took so long because there was one intervention patrol for all of Bolesławiec.

As istotne.pl was told by Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec KPP, when the report reached the police, officers were dealing with: a collision on a national road; a report that some object posed a danger on the motorway; an intervention concerning the death of a woman in an apartment; and a report of a suicide attempt.

She also pointed out that at that time police patrols were responding to matters that required “immediate action”.
