Further improvements at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec. It is the only facility in our region where KOC has been implemented—the Coordinated Care program for pregnant women.
Every pregnant woman who reports to the Bolesławiec hospital will be covered by KOC. She will be able to report a problem at any time, and the staff of the neonatology and obstetrics and gynecology departments will be responsible for resolving it. (This may include specialist consultations or psychological support).
Moreover, a patient who gives birth to her child in Bolesławiec will be able to report problems to the department’s staff during the postpartum period—that is, for another six weeks after delivery. As Agata Szocińska, the head midwife of the neonatology and obstetrics and gynecology departments at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec, explains, patients usually experience lactation and feeding problems during this time. Medical staff from our hospital will also help them then.
More about the entire initiative will be discussed during the 1st Obstetric Forum Mama&Niemowlę, which will be held on 27 October in Bolesławiec. Details: konferencjapoloznicza.pl.
