Since the establishment of Bolesławiec Municipal Police, the competition has held an important place in the annual schedule of educational events. Unfortunately, the pandemic made it impossible to organize it, so we are extremely pleased that we were able to hold it this year.

The prizes for the winning teams were funded by Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman, who also took the entire project under his honorary patronage.

As is customary, teams from fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade classes of primary schools competed. A total of 17 teams took part. The organizers: – The competition covers a range of issues related to broadly understood safety, particularly road safety, as well as safe recreation for young people during summer holidays, winter holidays or mountain trips, and principles of providing first aid.

The competition consisted of three parts:

  • a multiple-choice test containing 29 questions on safety,
  • 12 questions on first aid,
  • a practical task at the traffic town. (The task involved completing a route while observing applicable road traffic regulations in the shortest possible time.)

Who won?

  • in the fourth-grade competition:
    1. Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec (Maja Chmielowska, Hanna Rzeźwicka, Maciej Ertner),
    2. Primary School No. 5,
    3. Public Primary School of the Piarist Order;
  • in the fifth-grade competition:
    1. Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec (Izabela Fostyk, Maria Olszewska, Zuzanna Zawrotniak),
    2. Public Primary School of the Piarist Order,
    3. Primary School No. 1;
  • in the sixth-grade competition:
    1. Public Primary School of the Piarist Order (Ewelina Dańków, Hanna Momotiuk, Szymon Wojciechowski),
    2. Primary School No. 2,
    3. Primary School No. 3.

Bolesławiec Municipal Police: – The distinction for completing the route at the traffic town flawlessly and in the shortest time was awarded to fourth-grade student of Primary School No. 2 – Fabian Łukasik.
