The main highlight of the ceremony was an exceptional performance by the Gminny Zespół Pieśni i Tańca „Jutrzenka”, as well as warm wishes and congratulations for the residents of the Residential Care Home. Special congratulations were addressed to this year’s oldest jubilarian, Mrs Janina Walenciejczuk, who celebrated her 102nd birthday this year. On this occasion, Deputy Mayor Iwona Mandżuk – Dudek and Director Bogusław Szeffs wished the distinguished jubilarian many more years of life in health and happiness.

It is worth recalling that the Residential Care Home on Piastów Street is a facility providing permanent residence for elderly people. It is home to 48 residents. The scope and standard of services at the Residential Care Home take into account the residents’ health, physical and intellectual abilities, and individual needs.

Residents can meet their cultural and religious needs. They are also provided with opportunities to develop their interests and passions. The diverse range of activities is adapted to the residents’ expectations and needs. During the day, residents participate in various forms of occupational therapy and rehabilitation, actively take part in the life of the city, are visited by children from Bolesławiec preschools and schools, and integrate with senior communities in Bolesławiec.
