The incident occurred on the Złotoryja–Jelenia Góra route. A passenger car drove head-on into a tree. A traffic patrol that arrived at the scene determined that the driver was an 81-year-old man from Jelenia Góra. Driving from the direction of Złotoryja, on a straight section of road, the man veered onto the shoulder and crashed head-on into a tree, then bounced off it, landing in the other lane and on the shoulder. The man was traveling alone and got out of the car under his own power. He was not injured and did not require medical assistance.
It turned out that the incident was caused by a bee that had flown inside the car. The driver tried to scare it away while driving. Unfortunately, when his attention was focused on the bee, he completely lost control of what was happening on the road.
Fortunately, the 81-year-old driver was not injured and medical assistance was not needed.
