What is worth emphasizing is that daily disposable contact lenses are intended for every vision defect. Regardless of whether you only require vision correction or astigmatism correction, at Vision Express you will find suitable options for yourself.

What are daily disposable contact lenses?

As the name itself suggests, daily disposable contact lenses are corrective lenses intended for use for exactly one day. In their case, there is no need to purchase disinfecting solution or a case for storing the lenses overnight. You take them out of the blister, put them in and you are ready to go. Before going to bed, you remove them from your eyes and simply throw them away. This is not only a convenient solution, but also a very hygienic one.

Daily disposable contact lenses have the same purpose as two-week or monthly lenses – to provide every user with proper vision and comfort while wearing them. They are made of flexible, thin silicone-hydrogel or hydrogel materials incorporating technologies responsible for keeping them properly hydrated throughout the day. As a result, they are extremely comfortable to wear, without the feeling of having a foreign body in the eye or the unpleasant effect of dry eyes.

Daily disposable contact lenses for every type of vision defect

Several types of daily disposable contact lenses are available for sale. How do they differ? Each type is intended for a different kind of vision defect.

  • spherical daily disposable contact lenses – standard corrective lenses that help eliminate the effects of short-sightedness or long-sightedness;
  • multifocal (progressive) daily disposable contact lenses – lenses with a special design intended to adapt the correction to the effects of presbyopia, or age-related long-sightedness;
  • toric contact lenses – lenses with a design intended to help people with astigmatism achieve sharp, clear vision.

Did you know that you can wear contact lenses even if you do not have a vision defect? These are so-called “plano” lenses – without prescription power. Why use them, then? For example, to protect the eye from contaminants. In the case of coloured contact lenses, they can also be used to change your eye colour to something other than its natural shade.
