On Thursday afternoon (8 September), intense rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms passed over Bolesławiec County. The heavy rain caused water to flow down from fields and roads, consequently leading to the flooding of basements in several buildings. Firefighters intervened in the Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality and the Gromadka Municipality.
The firefighters’ actions involved pumping water out of the flooded basements and securing the buildings with sandbags.
No one was injured in the incidents.
