According to information provided by Agnieszka’s defense lawyers, the woman wanted to undergo a lie-detector test as early as during questioning at the prosecutor’s office, before her arrest.
– From the beginning of these proceedings, our client requested to be examined using a polygraph. This was not done, says attorney Wojciech Kasprzyk.
– Our client has now undergone a polygraph examination, which we will submit to the regional court. It was conducted at the Institute of Polygraph Examinations in Wrocław. Such an examination involves asking no more than four questions. These were very precise questions asked by a court-appointed expert in psychology. The questions concerned the case and were worded as follows: Have you ever had any sexual intercourse with your daughter? Have you ever put anything into your daughter’s vagina? Have you ever hit your daughter? Have you ever tried to submerge your daughter while bathing her? A polygraph is very difficult to deceive. You have to be a specially trained member of the special services, someone who knows the methods and how it works. In Poland, this is a novelty; polygraphs are hardly ever used in Poland. We are embracing modernity to emphasize that our client is innocent, adds attorney Wojciech Kasprzyk.
The examination showed that when the mother denied raping her daughter and being aggressive toward the child, her answers were credible.
