Left-wing MP Bartosz Arłukowicz came to Bolesławiec for a meeting with residents and activists of the Democratic Left Alliance and the Labour Union. While outlining his vision of a left-wing state, Arłukowicz also expressed his opinion about Janusz Palikot and vibrators. – And when I see Palikot, I get nervous. The time of running around television studios with a vibrator is already coming to an end. I like vibrators very much and I even use them. The difference between Palikot and me is that I use vibrators in bed, while Palikot uses them on TVN. This kind of politics must end – Arłukowicz said at the meeting.
The entire meeting was recorded by our journalist. The famous quote came after approximately half an hour of speaking. We posted the information on the website. TVN24 journalists used it and asked the deputy about that particular quote. Arłukowicz said that the sentence had been distorted. The TVN24 journalists then asked whether we had a recording of the meeting. We sent them the recording, and MP Arłukowicz had to provide explanations once again. This time, he could not blame local journalists for his attention-grabbing performance. All he had left was a defence based on not disclosing his private life.
Arłukowicz appreciated neither the reach nor the reliability of the local portal and its journalists. Perhaps at other meetings in small towns he will choose his words more carefully and cautiously.
Today, the portal IstotneInformacje.pl was quoted by, among others, tvn24.pl, Onet.pl, wp.pl, dziennik.pl and se.pl, while the TVN24 programme “Szkło kontaktowe” presented and commented on MP Arłukowicz’s statement.
