Bolesławiec County:

The competition committee decided which wreath would represent the County at the Lower Silesian harvest festival. The differences in the scores were small.

The wreaths were assessed by a committee consisting of:

  • Tomasz Gabrysiak, Bolesławiec County executive – chair;
  • Katarzyna Zięba – Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport;
  • Joanna Mysłek-Michnowska – Academy of Fine Arts graduate and teacher at the Youth Cultural Centre in Bolesławiec;
  • Emilia Michałowska from the County Promotion Office.

When assessing this year’s wreaths, the committee was impressed by the high artistic standard of the entries and the involvement of residents of the individual villages. Here are the results:

  1. Kraśnik Dolny – 47 points
  2. Ocice – 46 points
  3. jointly: Wartowice and Świętoszów – 44 points
    honourable mentions: Trzebień and Łaziska.

The aim of the competition is to promote and preserve traditions associated with harvest festival ceremonies, present the abundance of crops woven into the wreaths, and select entries with the highest ethnographic and artistic value for the provincial competition stage. The Lower Silesian Voivodeship Harvest Festival will take place on 11 September 2022 in Udanin.

The certificates and prizes will be presented during the September session of the County Council.
