There is a continuation to the highly shocking case from nearby Ruszów. As onet.pl established:
(…) the former parish priest in Ruszów is still free. The clergyman was sentenced to four years of unconditional imprisonment for sexually abusing two intellectually disabled girls whom he was preparing for their first communion. However, he did not go to prison because he filed a motion to postpone the sentence.
The mother of one of the victims sent a statement to the onet.pl website, which reads in part:
I am unable to understand why, despite the final judgment, Piotr M. has still not begun serving his sentence and is being allowed to continue poisoning my family’s life. Phone calls to people close to me and more distant acquaintances, as well as spreading false and negative information about me, remind me of the situation during the trial. Such harassment would not be good for anyone. I hope that the justice system will bring this case to an end. We are waiting for Piotr M. to stop making life difficult for us and others.
She added that her daughter needs peace in order to heal from the wounds inflicted on her.
Why did this happen? Piotr M. filed a motion to postpone the enforcement of his sentence. The court hearing in this matter, as established by the nationwide outlet, has been scheduled for 22 September this year. Enforcement of the sentence has been suspended until then. Details at onet.pl.
