“Jigsaw Puzzle” is based on the literary works of Paulo Coelho, Vladimir Nabokov, Bruno Schulz, Wojciech Kuczok and Monika Mostowik. The performance points to the need for a constant search for what truly matters. Reaching the goal—absolute truth—is a difficult journey, full of the ruts of life, dangerous tensions, skids and bends. On stage, we see both wounded, suffering, hateful women and men “dressed” in the appearance of normality, in appropriate forms and in rules accepted by society.

Each issue addressed by the actors overwhelms the viewer with its authenticity and prompts them to analyse the “well-ordered” realities of the 21st century—circumstances that, instead of bringing people together, alienate them and make them unhappy.

The aspiring stage artists radiate passion, truthfulness and incredible energy. The thematic richness and the surprisingly difficult yet exceptionally truthful conclusion, combined with the uniqueness of the stage characters, create a perfect whole. Just like the titular jigsaw puzzle.

The performance, directed by Bolesławiec native Katarzyna Maczel, features students of Karkonosze College: Karolina Konopska, Agnieszka Frąckowiak, Aleksandra Mrówka, Dominik Pintera, Kamil Glaser, Piotr Torchała and Artur Bamburski.
