As reported by the Bolesławiec municipal authorities:
The procedure to change the name of Michał Kutuzow Street in Bolesławiec was initiated on the initiative of the Chairman of the Bolesławiec City Council, Mr. Józef Pokładek. In order to learn residents’ opinions on a matter directly concerning them, public consultations were held from 1 to 8 July. The consultations were optional, and only residents of Michał Kutuzow Street in Bolesławiec could participate (optional consultations are held on matters important to the municipality, but their organization is not required by a specific regulation).

The public consultations were conducted in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. XL/327/09 of the Bolesławiec City Council of 27 May 2009 on determining the rules for conducting public consultations among the residents of Bolesławiec (...) and Order No. 178/2022 of the Mayor of Bolesławiec of 24 June 2022. Opinions on changing the name of Michał Kutuzow Street were expressed by completing a survey form, the template of which was specified in an appendix to the aforementioned order. The form was posted on the notice board of the Bolesławiec City Office, published on the website of the Urban Municipality of Bolesławiec and in the Public Information Bulletin of the Urban Municipality of Bolesławiec, and distributed together with an invitation to participate in the consultations. Survey forms were delivered to all residents of Michał Kutuzow Street.
What were the results?
Within the designated period, 33 residents of the street voted. 20 opposed changing the name, 12 supported it. One resident, meanwhile, submitted a survey in which they... did not indicate whether they were for or against it.
What happens next?
Municipal authorities: – The results of the public consultations were submitted to the Chairman of the Bolesławiec City Council, Mr. Józef Pokładek.
