Graduates from Lower Silesia can apply for a bridging scholarship for their first year of university immediately after receiving their secondary-school leaving certificate. The competition is open exclusively to people living in small Lower Silesian towns with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants who passed their secondary-school leaving examination this year.
The application form and competition rules can be downloaded HERE.
FEM—as the Lower Silesian partner of the Foundation for the Development of Entrepreneurship (FEP) from Łódź—supports young people from small towns in Lower Silesia in obtaining these scholarships. Only graduates who have received a recommendation from FEM may apply to FEP for the Bridging Scholarship. FEM is the only Lower Silesian organisation issuing such recommendations.
What is the condition for receiving the scholarship?
The condition for receiving the scholarship is submitting an application for a recommendation, with the required attachments, to FEM by 5 August 2022, and, after confirmation that it has been granted, submitting an online application to the nationwide organiser, FEP—HERE.
The candidate’s examination results and financial situation will be taken into account when recommendations are issued. Applications may be submitted only by this year’s graduates who have already been admitted to full-time higher education at a public university, except universities for uniformed services.
How much is the bridging scholarship?
The bridging scholarship for the first year of university will amount to PLN 7,000 and will be paid in monthly instalments. FEM finances 25% of the value of each scholarship thanks to a grant from the Self-Government of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship במסגרת the “zDolny Śląsk” programme. The remaining 75% of bridging scholarships is financed by the nationwide organiser, FEP, from funds provided by its sponsors, including the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, Narodowy Bank Polski, the Rural Development Foundation and the BNP Paribas Foundation.
Information about the competition is also available on FEM’s Facebook page—HERE.
