On Wednesday, July 6, a meeting was held at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec, during which an agreement was signed with Termo-KLIMA MK from Katowice, the contractor for the “Comprehensive Removal of Architectural Barriers” project. The facility said: – The project involves adapting the Hospital to the needs of people with disabilities by removing architectural barriers in the facilities located at 4 Jeleniogórska Street in Bolesławiec.

The agreement was signed by the Director of St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec, Kamil Barczyk, and the President of Termo-KLIMA MK Sp. z o.o., Marek Kurtyka, in the presence of the Chairman of the Bolesławiec County Council Ryszard Kawka, the Bolesławiec County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak, the Deputy Mayor of Bolesławiec Renata Szewczyk and several county councillors.

What will be done?

The following will undergo comprehensive modernization:

  • internal medicine ward (50 beds),
  • dialysis station – 12 positions,
  • central sterilization unit,
  • 5 stairwells,
  • 4 elevators,
  • access routes to parking spaces for people with disabilities,
  • queue management system in outpatient clinics.

The agreement with the Katowice-based company is worth PLN 10,280,000, while the total value of the project is PLN 11,500,000. The county hospital said: – The investment will be carried out as part of the Accessibility Plus Programme. Its aim is to ensure unrestricted access to goods and services, as well as the opportunity for people with special needs to participate in social and public life.
