If I win this election, I will have approximately a two-year term of office ahead of me. And how could I make promises and then avoid you when meeting you in the street? That is not my style. It is decent to be honest with oneself and with you. The truth is that the term of office would last only 1.5 years, including the current budget already being implemented and just one budget year. I leave the conclusions to the voters. Allow me to tell you about myself.

I was born in 1962 in the Lublin region. I have a husband, Marian, two daughters and five grandchildren. I have higher education in economics (University of Zielona Góra) and administration (University of Wrocław).

I came to the municipality in 1985. At the beginning of my professional career, I worked at the Gromadka Municipal Cooperative, later at our “Ciżemka” in Modła, and then at the District Labour Office in Chojnów. The first position I held in the municipality was Chairwoman of the Parents’ Council at the Primary School in Gromadka. That was how I got to know you, and you got to know me. Together, we organised wonderful events and festivals, as well as fundraising drives for municipal purposes, such as replacing the roof covering of the parish church in Gromadka.

I have worked at the Gromadka Municipal Office since 1998, including at the Civil Registry Office in Gromadka since 2004. During my employment, I began studying management at the University of Zielona Góra. In 2002, I initiated the preparation of the Sustainable Development Strategy for Gromadka Municipality for 2002–2020. I organised workshops with the help of many people. I am a co-author of this strategy, together with a team of researchers from the University of Zielona Góra. At that time, the team was headed by Daniel Fic, PhD Eng., professor at the University of Zielona Góra and Dean of the Faculty of Management.

By Resolution XXIX/214/2002 of the Gromadka Municipal Council of 9 October 2002, the strategy was adopted for implementation. By then, I already knew that only the sustainable development of the municipality makes sense, meaning the shared aspect of economic, social and ecological-social development.

In 2006, I was elected to the Bolesławiec County Council. I was elected a member of the Bolesławiec County Board. Working for the benefit of Gromadka Municipality became my main goal.

Even in 2006, Gromadka Municipality was a municipality with low revenues. Many residents were looking for work at the time. There were potholes on the county roads, and approximately 1 km of the county road through the forest to Gromadka from the direction of Różyniec had been renovated. People joked that when driving into Gromadka Municipality from the direction of Chocianów, a car immediately felt the county boundary. I thought then: “He who laughs last, laughs best.”

There was no temporary exit from the A4 motorway, despite its strategic importance for the development of Gromadka Municipality. Efforts to build the exit had been made practically since 1998. In response to my proposal—I was a member of the County Board—we organised the first meeting at the Bolesławiec County Office. On 7 April 2009, preliminary arrangements were made, and they took real shape at the meeting on 18 May 2009. I watched with commitment as our shared dream became reality. With the help of many people—business owners, local-government officials and politicians—we managed to initiate construction of the exit from the A4.

I made sure that further steps were taken to jointly carry out the project of building lanes called “temporary slowing-down lanes—merging and diverging lanes.” The partners agreed to meet again on 8 July 2009 in order to select a leader and sign an agreement concerning the financing of the investment. In an atmosphere of complete agreement and a shared commitment to the common good, the temporary exit from the A4 motorway was built, and its effects are visible. The municipality’s budget gained more money, jobs and many other opportunities necessary and beneficial for the development of Gromadka Municipality.

I was united with the late mayor Dariusz Pawliszczy and the councillors of the Gromadka Municipal Council by one thing: the well-being of Gromadka Municipality.

Nothing happens by accident in our municipality! The municipality’s residents and local-government officials worked and continue to work for its success every day; everyone contributes to the development of Our Municipality.

My motto is: Action matters, not promises—I ask for a chance to put it into practice!
