On Saturday, 25 June, at around 7:30 a.m., a post appeared on one of the social media sites in which someone described what the failed police arrest in Milików had looked like on Thursday (23 June). These are probably the words of the wanted man himself.

it went like this i was standing by the kitchen door and some guy comes in with a garbage bag and says is this the municipal office whose garbage is this so i said f**k do i care he comes up to me grabs me by the neck takes me to the ground and says police and calls the other one that one comes in and starts beating me like a punching bag. I didn't know what to do they started spraying me with gas. i took the first gun and threw it into the middle of the hallway. Only so that one of them would let go, it helped then the other one started choking me and wouldn't let go i dropped my phone from my hand to try to free myself from the hold he started smashing my head against the wall i saw the gun took it out of the holster, disengaged the safety, chambered it and fired a shot towards the stairs where nobody was. The other one who was farther away, seeing what was happening, put his gun on the floor i held it to my head and said you f***ing criminal you won't get out of prison now if i shoot myself. I shouted Tina Tina tell Marta that i love her very much and it worked. He let me go and while backing out from the R....s i threw the gun into the neighbouring garden and ran away

Below we present the official police statement. This is how the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters described Thursday's incident in Milików:

Yesterday, at around 12:00 p.m., officers wanted to arrest a person in one of the residential buildings in the Nowogrodziec municipality who, by court decision, was to serve a prison sentence of several years.

The intervention proved dangerous, as is often the case during police service. Immediately after the door was opened, the man attacked the police officers; he was aggressive, extremely agitated and did not respond to the officers' commands.

Direct coercive measures in the form of restraining holds were used in order to arrest him, but this did not produce the desired result. The man remained aggressive and highly agitated, attacking the police officers. A struggle ensued, as a result of which one of the officers briefly had his weapon taken from him, and one shot was fired from it. The man discarded the weapon and then fled. No one was injured.
