In mid-May this year, police officers received a report that a 61-year-old resident of one of the apartments in Lubań was terrorizing his neighbors and threatening to take their lives and burn down their apartments. The man was detained and taken to a police station.

– After the charges were presented, the prosecutor decided to apply preventive measures against the suspect in the form of police supervision and a ban on approaching or contacting the injured parties – explains Staff Warrant Officer Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer of the Lubań police. – The perpetrator did not comply with the specified obligations.

A few days later, the 61-year-old started another altercation with his neighbors, again using vulgar language toward them and threatening to take their lives. The spokeswoman said: – During an exchange of words with one of the injured parties, the suspect first threatened to kill her with a knife and then violated her bodily integrity. After the incident, the man left his place of residence and went in an unknown direction.

The aggressor was detained. At the police's request, the prosecutor submitted motions to the court for the suspect's temporary detention. The court granted them and remanded the 61-year-old in custody for three months.
