Bolesławiec took first place in the nationwide ranking of municipalities and counties in the category of urban and urban-rural municipalities. The competition is organised by the Association of Polish Counties.
The award in Mikołajki was accepted on behalf of the residents of Bolesławiec by the city’s deputy mayor, Renata Szewczyk.
Bolesławiec defeated, among others, Płońsk, Lądek-Zdrój and Czechowice-Dziedzice. The following places were taken by: Stronie Śląskie, Sochaczew, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Dobczyce, Chełmża and Barcin.
