When the dlahandlu.pl portal reported that Carrefour Polska would be taken over by the Mid Europa Partners fund, some portals began speculating about whether the popular chain would leave Poland.
“I would like to reassure everyone that our group denied the information about Carrefour leaving Poland two hours after the entire commotion caused by the dlahandu portal,” Michał Kubajek from the Press Office told istotne.pl. “Michał Kubajek” “The information was indeed denied on that portal, but it had already been published. I can confirm that Carrefour is staying in Poland and there are currently no plans for the chain to leave the country,” Michał Kubajek added.
The Carrefour hypermarket at 10 Marca Street is a very popular store among local residents. The store’s employees and management are happy to cooperate with the city. Vegefani from Centrum Wiedzy organize their tasty events in cooperation with the Bolesławiec Carrefour store, which offers certified BIO products. The hypermarket also organizes bread-baking demonstrations when it hosts school trips. We wrote about a visit to the Bolesławiec hypermarket by children from the Primary School in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki in the article Six-year-olds from Tomaszów visited Carrefour Bolesławiec. The hypermarket also organizes numerous charity collections in which people can donate food products that will go to local non-governmental organizations supporting those in need. At present, an uninterrupted food collection for Ukrainian women and men has been underway since February.
