According to the results of a poll commissioned by Super Express, the majority of respondents support both 73-year-old Jarosław Kaczyński and 65-year-old Donald Tusk retiring from politics.
When asked whether the PiS leader should retire from politics, 66 percent of respondents answered “definitely yes,” while 18 percent chose “rather yes.” The answers “rather no” and “definitely no” each received 8 percent.
In Tusk’s case, who—ironically—returned to Polish politics less than a year ago, most respondents also gave a clear answer. A total of 61 percent of respondents want him to leave politics (46 percent—“definitely yes,” 15 percent—“rather yes”). One in four respondents said that Tusk should definitely remain an active politician. Fifteen percent “rather” do not want him to leave.
When the votes for definitely yes and rather yes are added together, 84% of respondents support Jarosław Kaczyński retiring. Meanwhile, 61% of respondents support Donald Tusk retiring.
Should both men already retire and make way for younger politicians? The problem, however, is who would replace them. Super Express reports that Mateusz Morawiecki could succeed Jarosław Kaczyński, while Rafał Trzaskowski could succeed Donald Tusk.
