We present the organizers’ invitation to the May Day picket:
As every year, we are organizing a demonstration at which we address issues important to the workers’ movement, such as violations of labor law, illegal employment without contracts, junk contracts, lack of equality in the workplace, and mobbing.
We also encourage you to organize into your own worker and mutual-aid collectives, as well as to join those that already exist. Once again, we are meeting in very difficult circumstances: after two years of a pandemic that disrupted our working lives, during a war in the country of our closest neighbors that has resulted in millions of refugees arriving here, for whom we must find homes and work. High inflation and the government’s disastrous decisions are further damaging our wallets and living conditions.
However, during the first May weekend, we want to focus on the positives and spend time joyfully. Just as people did hundreds of years ago, we also want to welcome spring and celebrate this time together.
We invite you to the picket on May 1 at 12:00 p.m. by the fountain at Jana Pawła II Square in Wrocław. It will be combined with a “picnic” organized by Food Not Bombs; we also guarantee many other attractions ;)
