A minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of the 96 people who died in the disaster on April 10, 2010, while traveling to ceremonies marking the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre.
On Sunday, April 10, beneath the Memorial Plaque for the Victims of the Smolensk Air Disaster on Kubika Street, Bolesławiec County Starosta Tomasz Gabrysiak and a delegation from Bolesławiec County laid wreaths and lit candles.
