On the night of March 26–27 (from Saturday to Sunday), the change from winter time to summer time will take place. At 2:00 a.m., we will set our clocks to 3:00 a.m. Because of the switch to summer time, we will sleep for one hour less.
Why does the time change take place?
It is explained by the better use of daylight and, consequently, energy savings. Human activity is therefore better aligned with the hours when there is the most sunlight.
