Makeup helps women accentuate their beauty. Skillfully applying shadows can bring out the assets of any face and conceal its imperfections. The makeup shown below was done so that the model’s heart-shaped face would have a more oval contour.
Apply liquid foundations with your hands. Pat them in with your fingertips. The foundation warms slightly on your fingers, which makes it easier to spread. Rub the foundation carefully into the skin, especially around the wings of the nose, along the hairline and where the cheeks meet the neck. Advantages of this method: the foundation remains matte for longer and, thanks to the sensitivity of your fingertips, allows for optimal coverage of the complexion.
A special sponge can also be used. It may be dry or damp. Pick up small amounts of foundation with the sponge and blend them into the skin until the foundation has been completely absorbed. If the sponge is moistened before applying the foundation, the layer will be more delicate and less product will be used. A wet sponge does not absorb much foundation and transfers it to the skin more effectively. Foundation should always be applied according to a certain system. It is best to start at the forehead and gradually move downward toward the chin.
After spreading the foundation thoroughly, it is a good idea to gently pat the face with the palms of your hands—the foundation will then distribute more evenly and last longer. If too much foundation has been applied, remove the excess by pressing a tissue to the face.
