The exhibition opening took place on February 11 in the lobby of BOK-MCC. Among the guests were students of the Bolesławiec University of the Third Age, who take part in various art classes.

Izabela Sak, an artist born in Zielona Góra, practices easel painting on canvas using acrylic technique. Her works are held in private collections in many European countries and the USA, as well as in the collection of the Municipal Museum in Nowa Sól, Piast Castle in Krosno Odrzańskie, and the Henry van de Velde Memorial Chamber (the creator and theorist of Art Nouveau) in the sanatorium complex in Trzebiechów (Lubusz Voivodeship). She paints pictures in various formats – on canvas using brushes, palette knives and paint rollers; she combines painting with other materials and ready-made elements (collage). She creates realistic and semi-realistic paintings, as well as abstract works. She also uses dripping and action painting techniques. In 2021, the artist received the Silver Award in the Camelback Gallery International Painting Competition for the painting “Calligraphy Lesson”.

  • 2020 nomination for the 2020 Personality of the Year award in the culture category, Zielona Góra
  • 2021 Silver Award in the International Painting Competition, Camelback Gallery, USA, acrylic painting “Calligraphy Lesson”
  • 2021 Bronze Award in the International Visual Arts Competition, Camelback Gallery, USA, acrylic painting “Autumn Silence”
