A grocery store as a post office was an earlier idea for circumventing the regulations prohibiting Sunday trading. Retail chains took advantage of this loophole.
After the regulations were tightened in February, stores could no longer be open on Sundays as post offices. This does not mean, however, that store owners have stopped looking for new ways to circumvent the regulations in force and trade on Sundays.

What are the ideas for circumventing the Sunday trading ban?
For example, a store as a bus station. This idea was used in Cieszyn. It took advantage of the fact that there is a bus stop in front of one of the local supermarkets. Buses stop at and depart from this stop seven days a week, including Sundays. A waiting room was therefore arranged in the store, a sign reading “bus station” was placed on the door, and a store-station was created.

Another idea for circumventing the ban is a store as a reading room. This happened in Oława, where one supermarket invited customers to shop and borrow or read books:

Lidl is also trying to use the same idea. Book lockers are to appear in the chain’s stores. The chain announces that it will cooperate with libraries and that books will be available for borrowing at its outlets. In this way, it intends to promote local reading... while also expanding the range of services that permit Sunday trading.
Yet another idea is to establish a sports equipment rental service in the store, where customers can rent, for example, accessories for darts and badminton or fishing sets.
However, the most controversial idea is launching funeral services in the store and thereby circumventing the Sunday trading ban. A large store chain in Upper Silesia came up with the idea of adding “funerals and related activities” to its business register.
Will it work?
