Many of us have wondered at some point what the difference is between a dietitian and a psychodietitian. It is worth answering this question. A dietitian is a person who deals with the impact of nutrition on a person’s physical health. A psychodietitian deals with exactly the same matters as the specialist mentioned above, but also focuses on the psychological aspect of problems related to eating. People whose physical problems have a psychological basis often visit a psychodietitian.
A psychodietitian deals with eating disorders, including bulimia and anorexia, as well as various neuroses related to compulsive eating.
Why is it worth seeing a psychodietitian?
Following the principle that you are what you eat, it is worth taking care not only of your physical health but also of the mental health that goes hand in hand with it.
