The incident occurred on January 19 in Gierałtów. A video recorded by the Ukrainian man shows the Pole holding a gas canister and speaking with another young Ukrainian man who witnessed the incident. He can be heard shouting, “Get out of here!” and “Get out!” at the man recording the entire incident from the room.

The Ukrainian man recording the incident and the Pole exchange words. A Ukrainian woman is also sitting in the room, but she does not take part in the men’s conversation. When the Ukrainian man tells her, “Call the police,” the Pole sprays both of them with gas, shouting: “F*** off, wh*re!”

The Ukrainian woman who was attacked with gas reported the matter to the police.

– The Pole wanted the Ukrainian man to leave the apartment, and there was an argument concerning the apartment, says Łukasz Król of the Bolesławiec police. – We intended to examine the Ukrainian man’s injuries, but he has already left Poland, Król reports.

The police are conducting proceedings concerning the Pole’s alleged violation of Article 191 § 1 of the Penal Code: Anyone who uses violence against a person or an unlawful threat in order to force another person to take a specific action, refrain from taking action or endure something is subject to imprisonment for up to 3 years.
