The incident occurred on January 24 at Wrocław-Strachowice International Airport. “Officers from the Special Intervention Team intervened with a passenger who had missed his flight to Odesa,” reports Border Guard Major Joanna Konieczniak, press spokesperson for the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit.
She adds:
The man decided to express his dissatisfaction in a very loud and aggressive manner. His behavior prompted an intervention by Border Guard officers from the Special Intervention Team.
The Latvian left the departures hall in the presence of officers, which did not stop him from loudly hurling profanities in all directions.
Moreover, he refused to put on a mask and behaved very aggressively. The Border Guard officers were forced to restrain the aggressor and handcuff him.
What is more, it turned out that the foreign national was completely drunk. A test conducted by a police patrol called to the scene showed more than two per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
The spokesperson:
For failing to comply with orders issued by Border Guard officers, preventing and obstructing the performance of official duties, and failing to comply with the regulations in force at the airport, the man was fined a total of PLN 1,000.
