At the end of December 2021, the Bolesławiec City Council adopted the budget for 2022. Among the many tasks/investments are those concerning the Water and Sports Centre at Spacerowa Street and the municipal stadium at Spółdzielcza Street:
Modernisation and expansion of the municipal stadium at Spółdzielcza Street
Task value: PLN 6,918,580, including: PLN 4,918,580 in own funds and PLN 2,000,000 in funding from MSiT. The task includes construction of a Category IVA athletics arena, stands and technical infrastructure.
Development of the Water and Sports Centre at Spacerowa Street 24 – Stage I
The value of Stage I of the task (an outdoor swimming-pool zone with social and technical facilities): PLN 25,000,000. The value of the 2022 task: PLN 1,000,000.
The project’s general objective is to revitalise, supplement and expand the functions of the MOSiR grounds. The project envisages creating an attractive and functional family recreation complex, space for cultural and entertainment events, complemented by sports facilities, which could meet residents’ needs and also serve as a complete, professional sports and hotel base for local and national sports clubs.
The project includes: organising the entrance zone, separating clearly defined functional zones (outdoor swimming pools, outdoor sports fields, recreation and hotel facilities), designing appropriate internal circulation, providing an adequate number of parking spaces, and organising technical facilities.
