On Sunday (21 March), a quarter-final match of the Regional Polish Cup was played in Raciborowice. Local side GKS (regional league) hosted KS Karkonosze Jelenia Góra (Lower Silesian fourth division). The match was played in difficult conditions. The falling rain and waterlogged pitch significantly hindered the players.

Already in the 8th minute, following a shot by Paweł Walczak, the visitors took the lead. A quarter of an hour later, the same player scored his second goal. In the 29th minute, Marek Siatrak extended Karkonosze’s lead to 3–0. Two more goals were scored before the break. First, the hosts found the net. Łukasz Hencel was the scorer, while in the 45th minute Marcin Krupa converted a penalty for Karkonosze. The first half ended with the visitors leading 4–1.

The visitors from Jelenia Góra continued to dominate after the break. In the 52nd minute, Daniel Kotarba made it 5–1. Adrian Kulesza determined the final score. The GKS player scored Raciborowice’s goal in the 62nd minute. KS Karkonosze Jelenia Góra defeated GKS Raciborowice 5–2 and advanced to the semi-final of the Regional Polish Cup.
