– Bolesławiec is the most heavily burdened city. People are not collecting their parcels, and we have nowhere to load them, so the backlog is building up day by day. We even get up at night and drive to the parcel lockers to put parcels in as soon as space becomes available – says Szymon Ziółkowski, one of InPost's couriers.
There are more and more machines in Bolesławiec, but people are also ordering more and more. Our city has, one might say, gone shopping-crazy, and people are increasingly ordering to parcel lockers rather than to their homes.
– Parcels that do not fit are redirected by us to less heavily used parcel lockers where there is space. When people see that a parcel has been redirected to another parcel locker, they do not collect it; they simply wait for it to return to the original parcel locker. This blocks and slows down the system – explains Szymon Ziółkowski.
Everyone wants parcels to arrive before Christmas. That is why, together with the couriers, we encourage you to collect them quickly.
