On Thursday, March 11, an interschool economics competition, “Enterprising Middle School Student – when to start to achieve success?”, was held in the gymnasium of the Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych in Bolesławiec.
The competition aims to teach through play. The middle school students solved rebuses and tasks. They had to demonstrate their knowledge of European currencies and guess which company used a particular logo. – In this way, we want to promote entrepreneurship and improve the standard of teaching this subject – explains Wiesław Stefanik, head of ZSHiU.
Six teams took part in the competition. The team from Gromadka won. The team from Gimnazjum Samorządowe nr 1 w Bolesławcu came second. The third-place finish went to the representatives of Gimnazjum w Nowogrodźcu.
The competition was organized by Ewa Ostaszewska and Sebastian Pokładek. The Bolesławieckie Towarzystwo Gospodarcze provided patronage for the event.
