A reader contacted istotne.pl asking why the street lamps are on in the municipal area around Ptasia Street in Bolesławiec, where a new housing estate is to be built.
The street lamps were on on December 4, at around 4:00 p.m. (when it began to get dark), and later, when it was already completely dark, they were still on. According to the reader, this wastes electricity by lighting fields and essentially empty areas, as there is nothing there apart from roads.
We asked the Spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall for comment. We will publish the comment as soon as we receive it.

The city spokesperson replied today:
The lamps being on was caused by a malfunction. The malfunction has been fixed. In this area, the lamps on Bażantowa Street are on for pedestrian safety.
