Police officers from Bolesławiec are reminding residents about the National Safety Threat Map application, through which various threats can be reported. The application can be used, among other things, to notify the services about the location of a homeless person. Due to increasingly lower temperatures, it is worth checking whether there are people in need in our surroundings whose life or health may be at risk.
Officers verify and inspect locations indicated by residents on the National Safety Threat Map. Thanks to this application, every user can provide the Police with information about potentially dangerous locations.
The National Safety Threat Map can be used to report:
- a homeless person requiring help,
- acts of vandalism,
- wild swimming areas,
- illegal dumping sites,
- groups of minors at risk of demoralization,
- poaching,
- dangerous locations in waterside areas,
- dangerous entertainment activity locations,
- illegal tree felling,

Verification and handling of activities related to reports submitted in the county are carried out by officers serving in the designated areas. Depending on the type of report, these are officers from the prevention or traffic divisions. All points placed on the threat map are verified.
Each point is systematically checked by police patrols, and offenders are fined. According to the officers, their actions are producing results, and fewer people are committing offenses in locations marked on the threat map.
Police officers remind residents that a potentially dangerous location can also be added to the threat map via the link – National Safety Threat Map – located on the website of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
It should be remembered, however, that this application is not intended for reporting a need for urgent police intervention. In such cases, call the emergency number 112.
