Officers from Nowogrodziec detained a man who has criminal threats on his record (threats to take a life, cause bodily harm and set fire to an apartment). – The suspect once again threatened his ex-wife. This time, the perpetrator’s former mother-in-law was also a victim. The women called for help, and police officers detained the 43-year-old resident of Lubań County because they had no doubt that he needed to be isolated – reports junior aspirant Aleksandra Pieprzycka of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
And she explains:
At the beginning of November, also after making criminal threats against his ex-wife, the prosecutor imposed a restraining and no-contact order on the aggressor. This did not produce the expected effect, and the man’s behavior became increasingly unpredictable.
The result? Neither the police nor the prosecutor’s office had any doubt that the 43-year-old man should be isolated. The court ordered the aggressor to be held in temporary custody for three months.
Moreover, the man is also accused of property damage. (He smashed a window at the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre). The suspect now faces up to five years in prison.
