As the Lower Silesian KAS informs:

The e-TOLL system will replace the manual Toll Collection System operating until November 30 this year, and passage through toll collection points will take place without the need to stop before the barrier.

It adds:

From December 1 this year, you will no longer pay the toll to a collector at a toll booth, but by purchasing an expressway e-ticket or transmitting geolocation data using the e-TOLL PL app or OBU/ZSL devices.

How should you prepare for your journey?

Before setting out on December 1 along the A2 Konin–Stryków or A4 Wrocław–Sośnica motorway sections, choose your payment method. You will be able to pay for the journey by purchasing an expressway e-ticket or using the e-TOLL PL app and OBU and ZSL devices compatible with the e-TOLL system.

What is an expressway e-ticket?

KAS: – This is a convenient way to pay for a journey without registering in the e-TOLL system or acquiring on-board devices, although this will remain one of the alternatives for passenger car drivers.<?p>

Where can you buy an expressway ticket?

  • in the new e-TOLL PL BILET app,
  • in the apps of Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa (KAS) partners, whose list will soon be available at etoll.gov.pl,
  • at the stationary distribution points of KAS partners, where users who do not use digital solutions will be able to purchase tickets in paper form.

A list of such points will soon be published on etoll.gov.pl.

The e-TOLL PL BILET app can be downloaded free of charge from Google Play and the App Store. The option to purchase a ticket in the app will be available from December 1 this year.

The app will enable users to:

  • purchase an expressway e-ticket,
  • generate confirmation of the expressway e-ticket purchase as a PDF file,
  • view the history of all purchased expressway e-tickets,
  • return an unused expressway e-ticket.

More information about e-TOLL PL BILET is available at etoll.gov.pl.

Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa: – You can purchase an expressway e-ticket in advance if you provide the registration number of the car you plan to drive, the section of motorway you plan to travel, and the planned date and time when the journey will begin. The ticket will be valid for 48 hours from the specified date. If your plans change, you can return it before the declared date and time of the journey’s start.

The e-TOLL PL app and on-board devices

Officials:

Since June 24 this year, you can pay for travel on the A2 Konin–Stryków and A4 Wrocław–Sośnica motorways using the e-TOLL PL app, which works by transmitting geolocation data to the e-TOLL system. The app is used by both heavy vehicle and passenger car users. It can be downloaded free of charge from Google Play and the App Store. To use the e-TOLL PL app, you must register in the e-TOLL system at etoll.gov.pl. After installing the app, you will receive the device’s business identifier; enter it in the Online Customer Account (IKK). In the e-TOLL PL app, you can pay for the journey and top up your account. The app transmits geolocation data, so you do not need to declare the time or route of the planned journey in advance. Tolls are calculated using your vehicle’s geolocation data. The app must remain switched on throughout the journey.

Drivers of light vehicles can also pay motorway tolls using OBU and ZSL devices approved for the e-TOLL system. If such a device is installed in your car, check whether it is integrated with the e-TOLL system.

Changes to traffic organization on the A2 and A4

KAS:

In connection with the planned change to the toll collection system, a new traffic organization is being prepared at toll collection points on the A2 Konin–Stryków and A4 Wrocław–Sośnica motorways. Temporary traffic disruptions may occur on these sections, related, among other things, to the installation of new signage.

It also adds:

Drivers are asked to exercise caution when passing through these motorway sections.
